For a garment to be considered Couture it has to be made in Paris and the company must be accepted by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture, among several other requirements.

Fortunately, we have great Couturiers all over the world and Shukufa Abdullaeva - Designer and Owner of SHAN Couture - proves it!

I was very fortunate to meet Shukufa while in Miami and learn more about SHAN Couture. It’s very easy to instantly become a fan of this rising star brand. SHAN is based in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Pioneer in unique designs and focusing on the needs of the modern busy woman are the values of this brand. Each garment is custom made and the goal is to highlight the beauty of the feminine figure, while keeping it classy at the same time. The blazer-dress featured above it’s a bestseller.

SHAN Couture launched its first collection in July 2019, followed by a store opening in Baku. For this collection the inspiration came from nature and flowers. The attention to detail can be found in the quality of fine fabrics, such as silk, satin, lustring and the craftsmanship work seen in the rhinestones and exquisite tailoring.
